A random week..

Sorry for the late posts, I haven't been blogging in ages. Here is the news so far...I have been busy planning the sponsored walk for this coming Saturday and it has been even more busy in my media lessons of filming a music video for my preliminary task.
Last week Monday we got to visit one of my sixth form's consortium's, there we got the chance to hear about what university life was for those who had went to these universities, such as one of the courses I went to first which was journalism. A former student who had went to City London university was so passionate about journalism he made me even more invested into doing journalism, I enjoy writing even when I was in year 7 we were told to write short stories a whole of ideas emerged in my head, this continued  throughout the whole years. When I joined sixth form  I had chosen to do English literature, I was surprised at the vast change of the work we had to do of course this was year 12, and not year 11 (with GCSE's). However I still enjoy writing and don't give up on things that happen to be hard because there will be challenges in life.
I know this was a rather short post but I promise to write longer and write often more.

Short detail for today!

Today is my campaign meeting, and I will be asking them to bring information or news articles that they find moving.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been able to blog. There have been so many things happening being ill, visiting the Houses of Parliament and my birthday, and being able to see my friends.
Being ill is horrible it's not a secret to everyone, even worse when you have to be in the same room for days just to recover. But in the end when this whole feeling of being sick goes away you feel fresh and is able to continue the work you did before.
Every Wednesday I hold a meeting on human trafficking which we support the A21 campaign to raise awareness of it which is happening around the world. I first heard about the A21 campaign  in church and Christine Caine (the main person who created this campaign) was telling us that human trafficking is happening right now and everywhere, and that most of us don't acknowledge that there are 27 million people being trafficked all around the world. I was shocked and initially wanted to help, but I wasn't sure on how to start, so one day in church one lady raised awareness by rowing and I was motivated by her fundraising, I wanted to do something and I felt encouraged more by the our youth ministry telling us that being young is not going to stop us to do something. So I was inspired to tell my peers in sixth form about human trafficking, I created a presentation by the help of my youth leader, with the encouragement of my leader and my head of year supporting me I was able to have an A21 campaign group.

Today I held the campaign meeting, my group and I discussed the ways to fundraise money, so we finally established how we were going to fundraise which was a sponsored walk, this then led to the organising of where we were going to start the sponsored walk and where we were going to finish but we soon had it all planned out. Until next wednesday on the details of my group meeting, blog tomorrow bye!
